Great down home country style breakfast. Food was great. Sausage links looked and tasted more like something you would get from a butcher instead of those molded Johnsonville style links you see in a grocery store. Nice atmosphere and decorations. Service wasn't bad but it did take a little longer to get our meals out than I thought it would. We were right at the tail end of the breakfast hours so maybe we caught them right between the change over.
The Gator Cafe is one of the best kept secrets in the area. They have specials every day until 4pm. They make a really good sandwich called the Gator Club that is packed this with sliced meats, cheeses, bacon, lettuce and tomato. The traditional patty melt is a close second and the French fries are honestly probably the best in the area. It's not all sandwiches though, the hamburger steak and country fried steak are my favorite plated meals. They specialize in down home southern cooking and they do a good job at it. They also make traditional style milkshakes that are more than worth a try!
